22nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival was held Saturday March the 13th, 2010 at North Myrtle Beach, SC and a good time was had by all. Many of the local merchants tossed out branded logo products to the crowd of spectators.
"The St. Patrick's Day Festival started on March 11, 1988, when a group of far-sighted individuals thought that it was time to give the Canadians even MORE of a reason to come to North Myrtle Beach during the week long Can-Am Celebration."
We camped out to watch the parade in front of the Century 21 office http://www.century21thomas.com/ to watch the parade which was located across the street from Flynn's Irish Tavern. (Great Irish Coffee!)
The Century 21 office had tables out on the sidewalk loaded with useful branded products available for spectators to help themselves to. Since many of the spectators of the parade were visitors from out of state I thought this was a wonderful idea. My friends who plan to rent a vacation home next season also picked up a few beer cozies and pens. During the parade many beads, coupons and branded little gifts were thrown out into the crowd. It added to the fun of the event to see what you could catch.
